The Hot Dog Stands

The History of how it came about!

A few months ago while in a meeting, a lady was speaking and she came to a stop and

looked and said, “David, get ready …...for the Lord is ready to deliver into your hands all

that you have asked for to do the work that He has called you to do. You have asked the

Lord for some way that you could bring forth the money needed.  He will show you how to do

it, but when you first hear the way you will say that will never work. BUT....listen to the

Voice of the Lord”.

A few days later, I was sitting in the office and a man came to the door.  This man had been

in our program a few years earlier. I asked what I could do for him and he said that he came

by to tell me something.  He said “THANK YOU”! I want to thank you for the things that you

taught me.  Thank you for showing me how to live. “ I am a Christian now because you told

me and showed me how to do it.”

He said that he had worked at the same job now for the past two years. “I paid my wife’s way

through school and she is now a nurse’s aid”.

That is a miracle because they both spent time in prison and to the world their situation looked

hopeless.  He is still driving the same car that we gave him while living at Camp Hope.

He said he also had something else to tell me.  I asked him what that was and he said that we were

to go into the Hot Dog business.  My response was NO WAY, I am not interested, that will not work

for what we are doing. THEN…...I was reminded of what I was told a few days earlier.  We started to

check out the business.  What we have found is that we can fund the entire ministry by the Hot Dog

Carts, and we can also employee veterans to run the business.

We have been called to shine the light into this place of need, to the Veterans of America who are in

need.  We are taking the light and shining it into the darkness.

THE PLAN!

We will use the Hot Dog stands to build an army of supporters who will support America's Veterans.

We will also get the word out about the needs of Veterans and how every American can be a part of

the Veterans Restoration Project. The Hot Dog stands will help with the exposure that is needed.

We are using hot stands as a fund raising tool to fund the Veterans Restoration Project.

Hot dog stands are employing disabled veterans, giving them a job with a future.  We are

covering the hot dog stand market in high volume locations from stationary locations for

day-to-day operations, to mobile units covering temporary special events locations. We are

also helping other veterans' organizations to raise funds. Each person visiting one of the

veterans' stands will receive Veterans Restoration Project literature.  At that time, we will

ask them personally to become a partner and help support the project addressing the needs

of American Veterans. The goals are to raise funds to address the needs of America’s veterans.

In 12 to 18 months, we will be set up in multiple locations beginning in Tennessee, then expanding to other states.

Each hot dog stand will be designed to draw the attention and curiosity of the public, designed with red, white and blue colors and sinage.

Each man working with with the stand will wear military fatiques and boots.
