Did you know that?.......
In 2007, so many veterans took their own lives that the Veterans Administration instituted a Suicide Hotline, and that each veterans hospital now must have a suicide prevention counselor on staff.
6,500 to 12,000 suicide attempts were made among veterans in 2007 alone.

In the year 1998, 225,000 veterans were in prison or in jail.
More veterans than ever are having difficulty finding jobs after coming home from war.
On any given night in America, there are over 200,000 homeless veterans living on the streets.
Military form DOD-13 essentially allows a combat soldier with PTSD or medical conditions to be discharged from service with an honorable discharge as long as the soldier agrees that their condition was a pre-existing condition? That means that the government is no longer responsible for taking care of the veteran’s medical needs. Most young soldiers will sign this form just to “go home”!

As you can see, many American veterans are in need and deserve help. Veterans Restoration is a non-profit organization made up of veterans that do just that!
We Are Building An Army.....
The Army is all about TEAM WORK! We are building a team. Would you join us as we reach out to help veterans?
In the military, it takes 18 soldiers to support one soldier on the front line. That’s 18 soldiers working as clerks, cooks, doctors, mechanics, etc.
18 to one is what it takes —-
to reach a veteran and help him to learn how to live again, or
to find the benefits that he has earned, or
just to stop a veteran from taking his own life.
For less than 66 cents per day you can make a difference.
To build an army...one platoon at a time...18 people per platoon. Each platoon member giving only $20.00 per month will help reach a veteran and offer him help and hope.
Four platoons will make one company, then another company until we have the numbers that it takes to reach America’s veterans and help to restore their lives.

The Veterans Project is something never done before — an advertising campaign for veterans, advising them of problem areas that they may recognize in themselves, and where they can call for help. This is a campaign for veterans, by veterans.
From personal experiences, veterans know what other veterans are in need of and how to reach them. On a personal level, the Veterans Project can advise and listen compassionately while directing veterans where to go for services, and how to respond when getting the help that they so desperately need.
Ask yourself — when was the last time you saw a commercial aimed at veterans, advertising the services of the Veterans Administration or any other source? The answer is never. We are changing that!
